Today is the SCC Welcome Back BBQ and Open House. Open house starts at 4:00PM and the BBQ starts at 5:00PM
Following announcements - the first group of teachers and students can head out to the buses for our bus evacuation
Tomorrow is Fuel Good Days at the COOP - this year the COOP has chosen to donate to the public libraries. So if you buy fuel and if you buy a big cool and cooperative coffee tomorrow a portion of those sales will go towards our library! There will also BBQed burgers sold at lunch.
In an effort to raise money for the Terry Fox Foundations, the SRC is having a Pizza Party Fundraiser! This fundraiser will run this week from the 17th to the 19th. The class that raises the most money per capita will win a pizza party! SRC will be collecting money second period for those three days! Winner will be announced at the Terry Fox run on September 25th! Good luck everyone! Miles has a little bit more information to share with you all... This year is super special--it's the 45th Anniversary of Terry Fox's amazing Marathon of Hope! In 1980, Terry Fox decided to run across Canada to help raise money for cancer research. He ran a marathon every day with just one leg and a whole lot of heart. Even though he didn't finish the run, he inspired millions of people—-including us! Now it's our turn to keep his dream going by taking part in the Terry Fox School Run this September! So let's get ready and start fundraising now.
